For many amateur astronomers portability is an important factor in their telescopes. With their complex optical design, including both lenses and mirrors, the compact Maksutov-Cassegrain telescopes are ideally suited for those amateurs. At the same time image quality is very good.

The optical design of our compact telescopes is called a Maksutov-Cassegrain. This design utilizes mirrors and a corrector lens, resulting in a compact design with a very good optical performance.
