Product Description
This electronic eyepiece can be used with virtually any telescope to show you real-time live black and white images of the Moon, planets, stars, and daytime terrestrial objects on your television screen. Just connect the supplied cable to the yellow-colored Video-in port of your TV set, VCR, or camcorder. The Electronic Eyepiece has a 320 x 240 pixel CMOS monochrome imaging sensor. Barrels are included to allow you to fit the eyepiece into either 0.965" or 1.25" focuser sleeves. The eyepiece includes a 6 ft. cable and is powered by a (user-supplied) 9-volt battery that fits neatly inside the eyepiece housing. A built-in control permits contrast adjustment of the image. The Electronic Eyepiece is perhaps the largest-selling product of its type ever developed. Tens of thousands of Meade #902 Electronic Eyepieces are now in use in telescopes ranging from 60mm refractors to 12" Schmidt-Cassegrains .
A review of the eyepiece in Sky & Telescope magazine said, “The promise of video astronomy is appealing. Haven’t we all wished we could record what we see in the telescope, or even view it on a television from the comfort of our living room? . . . the Meade Electronic Eyepiece provides an inexpensive way to enjoy video astronomy . . . it’s hard to imagine anything more straightforward than this: Insert the [Electronic Eyepiece] into the telescope’s focuser. Connect it to a television or videocassette recorder with the supplied cable, turn it on, and enjoy the view. This is the level of simplicity that Meade has achieved with the Electronic Eyepiece. The fact that it looks, weighs, and costs about the same as a conventional eyepiece only sweetens the deal . . . The Electronic Eyepiece is a smartly designed unit with an RCA video output jack on the side and a thumbwheel control that turns the unit on and adjusts image contrast. The contrast adjustment is very wide . . . Not only will the Meade imager show remarkable views in real time, but when used with VCR, a frame grabber and a computer, it is capable of producing fine still images as well . . . the Meade Electronic Eyepiece is a lot of fun. Neighbors and friends will be impressed when you fill your TV screen with a live view of the Moon. If you have a frame grabber you can pull individual frames from a video recording and enter the world of electronic imaging...Simple to use and inexpensive, the Meade Electronic Eyepiece is a great first step for anyone looking to enter the universe of video astronomy.”

ACT35 (NTSC or PAL) --- Video Camera for Telescope

Model ACT35is a video camera professionally designed for telescope. It works perfectly with all kinds of optical telescopes. The images of the observed object can be genuinely displayed on TV screen.
Features:
- ACT35 employs newly designed optical system of fully coated, based on MTF (modulation Transfer Function) analysis, for improved image flatness and contrast. The images are brighter and distinct even at the periphery of the field of view. This system is designed for telescope and matches the specific characters of telescope.
- ACT35 has a wide field, which matches telescope’s field of view.
- The operation is so simple that it can works perfectly with all kinds of telescopes. ACT35 can be inserted directly into the telescope ocular-tube of Ф24.50mm. If the telescope has an ocular-tube of Ф31.7mm, it can be mounted into the ocular-tube with an adaptor of Ф31.7mm. 2 adaptors of Ф31.7mm are included with ACT35, one for observing the object in the sky and another for observing the object on the land.
- The design makes it offer very good color fidelity. The image is available with true color.

Meade #1244 Electric Focuser for use with ETX-90 and ETX-105 Telescope
The Meade #1244 Electric Focuser rapidly focuses eyepiece images in all ETX-90 and ETX-105 telescope models. The #1244 includes coarse and microfine speeds. The standard-equipment focuser 3-button hand controller accepts one user supplied 9-volt battery.
If used with an ETX-EC Astro Telescope, the focuser functions are controlled directly with either the Electronic Controller (standard with the ETX-90EC or ETX-105EC) or with the optional #497 Autostar Computer Controller , rather than with the Focuser 3-button hand controller.
